Privacy Policy

BreatheBox is built so that there is almost nothing to write here. The app has no account, no server, no analytics and no advertising. This page describes the little that does happen.

The BreatheBox app

• No account. The app never asks who you are.
• No data collection. The app does not collect, store or transmit personal data. It contains no analytics, no crash reporting service and no third-party software development kits.
• Settings stay on your phone. Your preferences, such as the chosen voice or seconds per side, are stored only on your device. Deleting the app deletes them.
• No microphone, no health data. The app does not use the microphone, the camera, your location, your contacts, Apple Health or Health Connect.
• Works offline. The app makes no network requests of its own.
• Purchases. BreatheBox Pro is sold through Apple's App Store on iPhone and Google Play on Android. Apple or Google processes the payment and tells the app only whether the purchase is owned. We receive no name, email or payment details. Their handling of your purchase is covered by Apple's privacy policy and Google's privacy policy.
• Android notification. On Android the app shows a notification while a session is running so it can keep going with the screen off. The notification stays on your phone and carries no data.

This website

• Hosting. breathebox.app is served by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel's servers record standard request logs, which include the IP address, browser type and pages requested. These are kept briefly for security and reliability and are covered by Vercel's privacy policy.
• No cookies. The site sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device.
• Visitor counts. The site uses Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It records the page visited, the referring site, and the country, browser, operating system and device type. It uses no cookies and does not identify or follow you across sites: a visitor is recognised only by a hash of the request that resets every 24 hours. We see only totals.
• Email. If you write to us, we keep the correspondence for as long as needed to help you, and nothing else is done with it.

Children

BreatheBox is not directed at children under 13 and, since it collects no data, it collects none from them.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about app users, there is nothing to access, correct or delete on our side.

Changes

If the app or the website ever starts doing something new with data, this page will change first and the effective date above will move. The current version is always at breathebox.app/privacy.
